Ian & Allan: Your Mom and Dad touched our lives in so many ways throughout the years. You Mom was a Sorority Sister back in the '80s, and your Dad was in the Scooter Unit with hubby. We moved around the province, and when we came back to London, lo and behold, there was your Dad at the curling club in Ilderton. I was so happy to see him, and we continued to see each other at the curling club until he couldn't do it anymore. We also bumped into him through the car dealership. He was always to provide a ride for us. His job, but we always got to catch up. Our condolences. He will be missed, but his suffering is over.

Evan was a true leader, community patron, generous man and so much more. I can remember him taking me to car shows at a young age, fixing my bike in his garage, and talking to me about all kinds of great things. I remember him out on his mini-bike dressed like a clown giving away candy to children on behalf of the Shriner's. Most importantly I remember him being an extremely giving person, someone that was always giving of his time and things to others. Evan shared everything he owned including himself. He was a leader that others admired. I have so many good memories of him from curling to his cottage, and playing in his yard, I think of him often. Mr. Hetherington was a person that truly influenced me in a positive way - I thank him for that.

Very sad news! Evan was a dear friend to our Mom Bev, who passed away in 2013. He was also very often my driver at MacMaster when I had the Montecarlo. He was a treasure of a man who cared deeply for everyone he knew and was very generous and kind hearted. I am very sad and know this is a great loss to his kids and their families. Rest in peace, Evan, and I hope you see Mom and Dad Alf up there!
