Obituary of Elvira Lombardi (De Lellis)
Peacefully, surrounded by her family at L.H.S.C. University Hospital, London, on Saturday, October 19, 2013 Elvira Lombardi passed away in her 85th year.
Beloved Wife of the late Arsenio Lombardi. Loving Mother of Assunta ( late Giancarlo) Faccenda, Giovanni (Margherita) Lombardi and Anna Marshall (Lombardi). Loving grandma of Orlando (Sheri), Robert (Diana), Marcello Faccenda and Linda Marshall. Cherished great-grandma of Breanna, Angela and Isabella. Survived by sisters Adele (Mario) De Angelis and Anna (Vincenzo) Fortuna, Italy, brothers-in-law Guido (Elena) Lombardi, London, and Leonardo Girardi, Italy, and sister-in-law Anna (late Giuseppe) Lombardi, Italy. Predeceased by her parents Giuseppe and Clementina (nee Sorge) De Lellis, and in-laws Giovanni and Assunta (nee Passamonti) Lombardi. Also predeceased by her sisters Filomena (Giuseppe), Maria (Vincenzo), Francesca and brother Giulio (Agnese) De Lellis. Loved by her niece Nicoletta (Joe) Orsini of London, and many nieces and nephews in London, Italy and France. She will also be missed by many extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St. (between Waterloo and Colborne) on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Prayers will be held in the Chapel at 3 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church, 345 Lyle St., on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 11 am, with Father Joseph Dabrowski officiating. Entombment at St. Peter’s Mausoleum.
Memorial donations to St. Mary’s Building Fund or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
