Obituary
Obituary of Deborah Marie Wilson (Bennett)
We lost a bright shining light in our lives on June 8, 2018, surrounded by her family. In her 66th year, Deb’s brave battle with cancer came to an end.
Beloved wife, life-long partner in life and soul mate of George Noel Wilson who met her on a blind date arranged by mutual friends fifty years ago. It was the luckiest day of his life.
Debbie pursued a long accomplished career as a law clerk rising to office manager and head of human resources at McCall Dawson Osterberg Handler, LLP in London.
A loving, caring mother to three beautiful children; Stephen Michael, Karen Michelle and Kathryn Nicole. Wonderful grandmother to Madison Marie Gallant, Jordan Michelle Gallant, Rain Loretta Chladek and Keira Ashley Vera Chladek.
Deb leaves behind her loving sister Marlene Louise York (Elliot), her brothers Paul Douglas Bennett and Daniel Mark Bennett. She is pre-deceased by her mother Ardath Jean Bennett (Colburne), her father Elmer Lemuel Bennett, her brother James Michael Bennett, and her sister Patti Elane Steinhoff (Bennett).
Visitation will be at Evans Funeral Home 648 Hamilton Road in London, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., on Tuesday, June 12, 2018. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to make a memorial donation in Deb’s name are asked to consider the London Health Sciences Centre or Parkwood Hospital.
Many thanks to the incredibly accomplished staff at LHSC as well as the palliative care team at LHSC and Parkwood Hospital.
A celebration of Deb's life for members of the family will be held in August.
