Obituary
Obituary of Ernest Huntley
On the 12th day of August 2009 the world lost a truly honourable, giving and loving Man, Soldier, Patriot Father and Good Samaritan. For his lifetime, through war and peace and up until his passing he dedicated his life to his country, family and the welfare of people of all origins. His good works spanned the globe and are too many to mention (he would be uncomfortable if we attempted to list them). To the best of his ability he quietly but tenaciously fought for the just treatment for all those who needed his help. We have been told that all who have met and known him were both felt enriched and grateful. There will not soon be another man like Ernie Huntley. He lived his life with honour priding himself on his word being his bond. He was remarkable in his humility being recognized by international royalty and heads of state. Regardless of this or his accomplishments he thought of himself as “just Ernie doing what he could to help”. He expected no reward other than knowing that he had “fought the just fight” and hopefully see the improvement in the lives of others. Dad, you are our hero and role model. We are so proud and privileged to call you Father! By now your heavenly Father has reunited you with your wife and soul mate May and your happiness together can continue uninterrupted––the ultimate happiness for us!
