Obituary
Obituary of Jozsef Barany
It is with great sorrow I announce the passing of Jozsef, age 75, peacefully at University Hospital on September 29, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. He’s now free of pain. He fought a long hard battle; first with ALS Lou Gehrigs, then Parkinsons and then was given the cruel fate of terminal cancer. He suffered so. His wife and soul mate Mary Anne was his caregiver 24 hours a day till the end. She never left him. Jozsef is now free to walk tall through the gates where St. Peter is waiting to greet him. Sleep well my love till we meet again. Always and forever.
Jozsef leaves behind his wife of 50 years Mary Anne; 3 daughters Diane, Christina & Anita; 3 grandchildren Jamie, Joseph & Samantha and one great-granddaughter Madison. Also his sister Erma and her large family in Hungary and brother-in-law Kelvin Hipke & wife Heather and their large family in Regina. He will be missed by the family cat Muci who gave him a run for his money.
Visitation will be held at the Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St. (Please use King St. entrance between Waterloo & Colborne ), on Sunday from 2-4pm. Funeral service will be held in the Logan Chapel on Monday, October 3, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Joe’s wishes are to be cremated & part of him buried in Hungary. A graveside interment service will be held in Woodland Cemetery at a later date.
