We were saddened to hear of Helen's passing. Helen was a delightful woman and she and Dave were great friends of Rob's parents, John and Marion Tuer. When Frances visited John at his new retirement home in Waterloo this week he had very pleasant memories of the trip the four of them took to Australia in 1991. He also mentioned how Helen always had something in her hands and Frances still has the lovely crocheted doily that Helen made as part of a bridal shower gift.

Barb: How very hard it is to lose a mother , especially one that has shared so much of your life with you. In these last few years you and your family have given her great support so that she could live in her own home. We will always remember her enormous smile and great spirit. We each send you a warm hug. Love, Garry and Heidi

Barb, Bob and family I was so sad to hear of Helen's passing. Her family was her world and yet she still embraced a wide circle of friends. I am so thankful to have known her. A life well lived...full of laughter, joy and love. One of the most stylist women I have ever met! Rest in peace Helen. You have left a wonderful legacy.

Barbara- Please accept my heartfelt condolences at your loss. My parents, Patricia and Orrin Simmons were great friends of your parents back in the 30's and 40's. They kept in contact even after my parents moved over to the states in 1954. I have several photos of a day at the beach where your father and mine are doing hand stands and one standing on the shoulders of the other. Maybe to impress their gals! Your mom said once that she was one of my mom's oldest friends and it was true. She was a fine woman and will be missed. I happen to be in London, but am flying back home tomorrow and will be unable to attend the service, but wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you and your family at this sad time.
