Shirley was a long-time friend of my aunt, Marion Ellis and of my mother, Eleanor Russell. I feel that I've known Shirley for most of my life. Her best friend was her white persian cat, Bobby. She continued to use her typewriter long after computers came in. We received many perfectly typewritten letters from Shirley over the years. She was also a wonderful seamstress, making items for friends and for charity. I will miss her.
