Dear Louise, I am so sorry that Harry has died. He was a wonderful gardener, and I took joy every day from his gift to the community. He was also unfailingly kind, and always happy to have a chat. I bought a lovely sympathy card, and left it at an unknown store. Then I couldn't find as nice a one, and so procrastinated. I am sending a donation to the foundation, in Harry's memory. Marilyn

Dear Speake family my deepest sympathies on the passing of Jack. I had the pleasure of working with him early in my career at Canada Trust. He always took time to share his wisdom and experience (not to mention his books). I learned a lot from Jack and have passed it forward to younger people I mentored in my career. I very much looked forward to our talks and as I moved on in my career he was always the gold standard by which other senior executives were measured.

So many of us are the better for having known Jack Speake. Whether it was his intellect or his love of "metrics" or his stellar business acumen, he was always willing to give leadership for the benefit of others, with no expectation of personal gain or return other than the happiness he felt seeing the person or project succeed. Jack's goal was to find JOY in whatever he did - our faith assures us today his cup runneth over. Bless us all as we start a new chapter in our life filled with loving memories of this good husband, father, uncle, grandfather, friend.
