Obituary of Ruth Marie McDermid

On Friday, August 22, 2008, Ruth Marie McDermid, in her 95th year, passed away at University Hospital. Predeceased by her husband Jack (1978). Survived by her sister Larene Rosser of Thunder Bay, nephews David (Jane) MacLaren of London, Ian (Grace) Rosser of Edmonton, nieces Ann (Philip) Kuntz of Berlin, Germany, Laurie MacLaren of London and many great & great great nieces & nephews. Ruth was a longtime member of New St. James Presbyterian Church where she was an active member of the quilting group. Cremation & interment has taken place in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be held at New St. James Presbyterian Church, 280 Oxford St. E., on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Donations to the New St. James Presbyterian Church - Memorial Fund, would be appreciated by the family.
