Peacefully passed away on Wednesday, September 7th, 2016 at Extendicare, London at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late Bill Smyth (1981). Loving mother of Marilyn (Bill) Hurley of London, Tom (Jane) Smyth of Ottawa and Don (Kathryn) Smyth of Richmond Hill. Loving grandmother of Deb (Al) O'Grady of London, Dr. William (Gina) Smyth of Parry Sound, Steve (Jackie) Smyth of Barrie, Bill (Shirley) Hurley of Waterdown, Tom Smyth Jr. of Ottawa and Jennifer Smyth of Hamilton. Great-grandmother of 9 wonderful great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Doris Barless. Forever in the hearts of many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by her son William (Diane) Smyth, brother Charlie Booth, brother Bill Booth and brother Gord Booth "Jiggs". The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of the staff at Extendicare, London for all their care and support. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at York Cemetery, 160 Beecroft Road, North York, Toronto, Ontario, on Saturday, September 17th, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Interment of ashes will take place in York Cemetery, Toronto, Ontario. Those who wish may make memorial donations to The Salvation Army or the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Marion Smyth.
