Obituary of Eda Tiesma

Eda Tiesma (nee Bouwers), of London, was called home to her Lord on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 surrounded by her family in Abbotsford BC. Beloved wife and best friend of Art. Loving mother of Liz (Ted) Van Den Tempel, Yolanda (Jamie) Cameron, Heather (Aubrey) Postma, Lucinda (Mike) Klapwyk and Art (Jennifer) Tiesma. Cherished Oma of David (Lauren), Thea (Josh Guenther), Sofia, Derek and Ben Van Den Tempel, Jay (Danielle) and Wendel (Breann Glasier) Cameron, Aaron and Tyler Postma, Isabel (Ryan Brown), Quin and Ilse Klapwyk, Spencer, Paige, Madison and Emma Tiesma and great Oma of Anika, Kase and Ryker Van Den Tempel and Lincoln Guenther. Dear sister of Janet Struiksma and Henny VanderWindt; sister-in-law of Siemie Tiesma, Steven Hoorntje, Lucy (Dirk) Van Dalen, Henk Tiesma (Bev Woodroffe), Sally (Larry) Straatsma, Peter (Hennie) Tiesma and Fred (Eline) Tiesma. She will be remembered by her honourary son Eric (Stella) Ho and their children Joanna and Nathan as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Eda was predeceased by her son George, grandsons Darryl Van Den Tempel and Wesley Cameron; brothers-in-law Fred Struiksma, Harry VanderWindt and Sid Tiesma, sister-in-law Alice Hoorntje, parents-in-law George and Isabel (nee Vander Meulen) Tiesma; brother Hendrik in infancy and her parents John and Egbertje (nee De Jonge) Bouwers. Family will receive relatives and friends at Good News CR Church (476 Clarke Road) London on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and where the memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations to Indwell or World Renew would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
