Obituary of Maria Gianakakis
At Elmwood Place on Monday, December 16, 2013, Maria Gianakakis of London passed peacefully in her 79th year. Beloved wife of the late Diamantis Gianakakis. Dear mother of Angela and her husband Robert Sutton of London, Gus and his wife Heather Gianakakis of London and Andry Gianakakis and his wife Joanna Sinos of Toronto. Cherished grandmother of seven grandchildren Adam, Alex, Christian, Amelia, Julia, Jacquelle and Bella. Dear sister of Sotirios and his wife Voula Bouyoukos of London and Aristidis and his wife Christina Bouyoukos of Athens, Greece.
Predeceased by a sister Vasiliki Bouyoukos and a brother Panagiotis and his late wife Evridiki Bouyoukos. Maria will be missed by her many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St. (between Waterloo and Colborne St) on Wednesday 6-9 pm. Funeral service will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 131 Southdale Road W. on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at 11 am with Father Elias Drossos officiating. Interment Woodland Cemetery. Prayers will be held on Wednesday evening at 8 pm.
Friends who wish may make memorial donations to the London Regional Cancer Centre or Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
