Obituary of Larry (Lammert) Leentjes

On Sunday, June 26, 2016, the world lost an amazing man. Larry Leentjes passed away at LHSC-Victoria Hospital, at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Sharon Leentjes (Nee Larkin) for 22 years. Second father to Jennifer Donais, Christopher Donais and his wife Jody. Loving Papa to Christian, Cain, Chloe and Emery. Survived by his sister in law Jean Leentjes, brother in law Wilfred Smoke, sister in law Dianne Kelly and her husband Brian Kelly. Forever in the hearts of many nieces, nephews, extended family, friends on this side of the border, and his friends in Colony Cove, Florida. Predeceased by his parents, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters. Larry made his career with CNR Rail. He didn't believe in retiring gracefully, and therefore, contracted out to Condor Rail, PNR Rail, and A&B Railworks afterward. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the LOGAN FUNERAL HOME, 371 Dundas St., London (Downtown London, between Waterloo and Colborne), on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 11am for a Celebration of Life. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior. Those who wish to make a memorial donation in Larry's name are asked to consider the Canadian Cancer Society, The London Humane Society, or the Lung Association.
