Susan: I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Larry. I had the great fortune to meet Larry and work with him when he served on the Ivey Alumni Association Board of Directors. His witty remarks used to catch everyone off guard, but it always brought a smile to our faces. I can only imagine how difficult it is at this time, but I hope his memory brings a great smile to your face as well. Glenn

Dear Susan, It was so sad to see the notice in the London Free Press on Saturday of Larrys passing. You have both been in my thoughts this week and they always brought a smile to my face. Uncle Larry was a good teacher. He taught me by example to appreciate the finer things in life and to appreciate the efforts of others. Like Larry, I truly enjoy my work and feel privileged to have had my creativity turned loose as you and Larry did with his office. Unfortunately I own neither a bow tie or a white apron so I will pass on the London Club Memorial Service but be assured that Bruce, Paul and Donna and I will be thinking of you. All our love

It has been a long time since I was a student in one of Larrys marketing classes (1975) but it was as though I was listening to him speak when I read his comments about the happiest two days in his life, when he bought the business and when he sold it. My sincere condolences

My sincere condolences on your loss, To me Larry will be long remembered particularly for his generosity towards the Arts, and music. I also remember the days of The Opimian Society purchasing Wine from Wellington St. and some very enjoyable wine tastings, represented even today in that smiling photograph, accompanying his obituary. Orchestra London and The Canadian Opera Company have good cause long to remember his generosity. I do donate to Orchestra London but I will be sending a supplement in Larry's memory James

Larry and Dick are in heaven sharing their old and silly jokes and stories and bragging about the competence of their wives. They had lives well-lived, shared with wives who adored them and partnered with them in so many endeavors and adventures. So dear Susan, when all is said and done we have our memories and the support of those who shared our lives... and oh how blessed we are. It has been 16 years since Dick died but he is right here with me now

We are truly saddened to learn of his death, a real loss to the community and to the arts. We never progressed from acqauintance to friendship but enjoyed our occasional contacts at the Opera and always remember our first meeting when some old family links were discovered. A great gentleman, we admired from afar.

Dear Susan: I was very saddened to learn of Larry's death. Although I never had a great deal of personal contact with him beyond the "hello, how are you?" variety, I have been well aware of his work with Orchestra London ever since I first became a member of the Volunteer Committee. I remember him as a member of the Advisory Board during my term as President (1990-92), and for some years before and after that. I have always known the two of you as regular concert goers, as well as seeing you at other events, both Orchestra and community ones. I have to confess to a real sense of loss last night, when I glanced up to the balcony corner where you sit and the two of you weren't there. He will be much missed. Words are so inadequate at times like these, but I did want you to know that my thoughts are with you. Sincerely Susan Merskey

Mrs. Agranove, It is truly a very sad day for me. I had to say farewell to a bright, creative individual who knew how to work hard, but also how to play hard. I am thankful for the opportunity of having Dr. Agranove as my employer, my mentor, my teacher and my friend. He showed us all the right way to live and the right way to face death. He was so lucky to have such a caring and supportive partner as you in his last days.

I am very sorry to read that Larry has died. I worked with Larry in the School of Business and Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University. Larry really enjoyed his time at WLU and we really enjoyed having him there. Larry made a major contribution to the development of the school and his students' education. He was also a very positive influence on his fellow faculty members, cheerful, innovative, and always seeking to improve the teaching and programs of the school. And always so well dressed. On behalf of my mother Georgia Velos, I extend condolences to you and your family on the passing of your husband Larry. My mother would speak fondly of you and Larry, when I was a teenager growing up in London. Unfortunately she has Alzheimer's now and has poor memory. She will be attending the 100th birthday of HB Beal Secondary School in May accompanied by my brother Bill. If you are attending and see her, please say hello - maybe you will help her recall some happy memories. May your memories of Larry give you comfort in the coming days and weeks. Sincerely, Pamela Velos

Susan, it is in tears that I write this message. I had intended to call Larry today, now I am back from my 2 wks road trip. Larry was a man like no other and a wonderful caring and supportive friend. He was always there for me with a smile, intelligent advice and sometimes a bad joke. His positive attitude even in the face of death was truly amazing. It was a privilege to have been considered a friend and Larry's passing is a painful loss. My heart goes out to you, Susan. Deb
