Obituary of Emilia Natalia Mendonça

Peacefully, surrounded by her husband and children at Parkwood Institute on Thursday, May 18, 2023, Emilia Mendonça passed away at the age of 85.

 

Beloved wife of 64 years to Angelo. Loving mother of Helen (George), Tony, Natalie (Mike), Angelo (Kim), and Paula. 

She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Michelle, Andrea, Emily, Mathew, Chris, Jessica, Evan, Nicholas, Adam, Olivia, Abby, her great-grandchildren Jevon, Naiya, and Milly, and her dear sister Maria Jose. 

 

She was predeceased by her parents Antonio and Maria Jose Medeiros, and her siblings Antonio, Olga, Jovita, and Ana Maria. 

 

Emilia was a proud, longtime employee of Siemens Canada, and a talented home chef.  Everyone loved her cooking.  She was deeply funny, and the heart of her family.  In Emilia’s words: “Thank you for coming and have a good time!” 

 

Friends and family will be received at the Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas Street, London, Ontario (between Waterloo & Colborne St.), on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, from 4-7 p.m.

Service will to follow in the Logan Chapel on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at 11 am.

Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

 

Those who wish to make memorial donations in Emilia’s memory, are asked to consider the Alzheimers Society, Canadian Cancer Society, or Parkwood Institute- Palliative Care, in lieu of flowers.
