Obituary of Rob Burt

Peacefully, on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, Rob Burt passed away at the age of 60.

Beloved husband of 35 years to Kim Burt (née Cain). Greatly missed by his sons J.R. and Cody. Loving Poppa to Cash and Carter. Brother of John, Judy and the late Don. Uncle to Dylan Burt, Keegan Burt, Jeremey Bennett, Adam Bennett and Rebecca Bennett. Son of the late Walter Burt and the late Peggy Burt. Son in law of Joan Cain and the late Jim Cain. Forever in the hearts of his long time friends Bill, Dan, Dave, Doug, John, Scotty and Paul. Fondly remembered by his extended family and colleagues at Formet where he worked for over 20 years.

Rob was devoted to his family and friends and put everyone before himself. Rob was a Las Vegas Raiders fan through and through, and loved watching his boys play sports.

Cremation has taken place.

A celebration of Rob’s life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Lord Elgin Branch # 41, 24 John Street, St. Thomas, Ontario on Friday, June 9, 2023 from 7-11 p.m.

Those who wish may make memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of choice in memory of Rob.
