At Victoria Hospital on July 9, 2023, Louise Alice Speake on her 94th birthday. “Lady Alice”, wife and true love of the late Jack Speake. Beloved daughter of the late Norm and Alice Pyman. Dear sister of Berneice, Norma and Caroline (Jack Cowan). Loving mother of Tim (Joyce), Susan, Jacqueline (Jeff Blanchard) and Colleen (Phil Gareau). Grandmother of Michael (Michelle Snedden), Randall (Valerie), Jocelyn (Ray Perry), Jeremy (Megan), Jonathan, Ryan, Sean (Lacey) and Marc (Randi). Great grandmother of Myles, Mathis, David, Maddie, Avery and Emily.
Louise gave up a promising career at Bell Telephone where she changed the system from operator assisted to dial phones and from party lines to private lines. She became a suburban housewife and enjoyed family camping in all of the Ontario Provincial Parks then transitioning to cottage life. After retirement she became a world traveler with Jack. Later she had some escapades with her dear friend Ethel.
A Private Family Funeral Service will be held at the Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas Street (519-433-6181), London.
Private interment in Eastnor Cemetery.
