Saddened to hear of Mike’s passing. He was a great guy !
We met in 1971 when I started my residency in radiology at Western . He was a jr staff radiologist from McGill and I had just been discharged from the Canadian Armed Forces. I was a 1967 U of T grad. Lots of back and forth kibbutzing about Varsity vs McGill . He was an outstanding radiologist and a fine man !

Dearest Barbara, Jamie, Kris and Family, if I could find a picture that I really want to send, it would be of Michael, wearing a sheer night gown, an elegant blonde wig, and playing trumpet in a casual band in our house! It was a hilarious night, and Michael was in rare form. He loved to have a good time, and with his sweet wry smile he warmed everyone’s hearts. When he made his good wish speech to us upon our eventual move to Portland he commented that he had put a special note in the wall in Jerusalem for our positive adventures in our new jobs in Portland and of course his wishes worked out very well. Mike was adventurous, loved nature, friends, galore, and most of all has amazing family. While he is missed on earth, we know he’s playing trumpet and piano, in the heavenly band and is bringing joy and causing the wings of angels to flutter. Deepest love and condolences to the whole Lefcoe family love, Elaine, Mel, Tammy, Laurie (and Robbie)

My condolences to the Lefcoe family on the news of Mike’s death. I knew Mike when I was an Internal Medicine resident at Western then as a colleague on the Faculty of Medicine. Mike was a wonderful radiologist who always gave expert opinion and was friendly and supportive of us lowly residents! It was a privilege wirking with him.

So sad for Barbara, Jamie and Kris. The Lefcoes were our neighbors on Scarlett Ave. and Michael and Barbara were among my parents best friends. While I lived out west for 32 years, I did see the Lefcoes when back in London and always enjoyed time with Mike. Funny and laid back, he always seemed to have a wry smile. He loved music, sports and good conversation. And he was a caring Dad and doctor... I will miss him. Rest peacefully Mike. Dementia is horrible. Let's find a cure!

I was an xray tech at Vic. Hosp. from 1981 to 2016. I was always impressed by Dr. Lefcoe's kind and gentlemanly talks with our patients. With all our technology and complex procedures he never forgot that he was a doctor first - and that we had the privilege of caring for our patients. He was a real mensch!

Dear Barbara, and family.: What a tremendous loss. I have such fond memories beginning in childhood of Michael-his humor, his talent, and mostly his loving manner. It was clear he adored family and treasured his friends, and he will be so sadly missed. I hope happy memories will comfort you at this most difficult time. Sending lots of hugs, Marlene.

Dear Barb and family, We send our sincere condolences on the passing of Michael. He was a fun guy, quirky at times, and sported a wonderful smile. We recall his love for his fish pond in the back yard he proudly created. Syd spent time professionally and athletically with Mike in the hospital, hockey rink, squash court and golf grounds. As a colleague, Mike would " needle" Syd, not necessarily in the chest! May his memory be a blessing.

When I think of Michael, I'll always think of his grace, his talent, silly sense of humor, his humble demeanor and most of all his gentle kindness.
Although the disease tried to diminish him, it couldn't completely destroy his warmth. I saw it in his eyes just a few months ago.
Barb, I wish you peace and send you my love.
