Obituary of T. Margaret “Greetje” Van Veen (née Gemmink)

Peacefully, with her family by her side at home on Thursday, November 8, 2023, Margaret Van Veen passed away at the age of 85.

Beloved wife of 58 years to Jacob “Jaap” Van Veen. Loving mother to Franciska (Gregory) Gordon and Jacob Z. Van Veen. Cherished Oma to Cassandra (Connor) and Breanna. Dear sister to Tonny Gemmink-Schaap (Loek Schaap), the late Ton Gemmink, the late Martin Gemmink and the late Mik Gemmink. Forever in the hearts of her extended family on both Van Veen & Gemmink sides.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Jordyn, Anna, Britney and all the staff of Masonville Manor, along with the nurses and PSW’s of St. Elizabeth as well as the staff of the London Regional Cancer Program for all their care and support.

Deeply we grieve the loss of a special wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. We love you enough to let you go and finally rest. May God keep you close until we meet again. Living & loving life to the fullest, if ever there was an example-it is you.

Cremation has taken place.
