Smith, David (Dave) Gregory “Gater”  

Peacefully, at home on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, David (Dave) Gregory “Gater” Smith passed away at the age of 70. Beloved father of Ginette Smith (Korry Logan), Angela (Christopher) Burtt and Ron Smith. Loving grampa of Tia, David, Aiden, Emily, Carter and Alex. Brother of Elizabeth Smith, Gary Smith and Kevin Smith. Forever in the hearts of many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Dave had a deep love and passion for music that many admired, he will be remembered by many as the most talented bass player around.

Dave was a devoted family man and had a loving and caring nature that will be greatly missed.

Cremation has taken place.

Those who wish may make memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Dave.
