Liz and I had a beautiful conversation one afternoon in my cafe where she shared how returning to the woods revitalized her soul. Although we regretfully did not return to that conversation, I saw Liz as a spark quietly longing to rejoin the spirited dance of the faerie fire, and now she has. If I meet you again to finish that conversation Liz, I know it will be in the woods.

I had the most amazing friend growing up! Liz and I shared elementary and secondary school together. When we were 19 we both quit our jobs and drove her Chevrolet ( that Liz called Flivver) across Canada with about $200 in our pockets and a tent to sleep in. That was the summer of 1973. So many good times, so many adventures. We made it all the way to the west coast. Liz will always be my best friend and while I will miss her I will hold her in my heart, forever young. The picture I have attached is Liz and I in June 1967 at our grade 8 graduation

We felt lucky to be your neighbours for a time, Pat and Liz and to have a lifelong friendship with Angela. Liz had a beautiful soul and a generous heart, even through her health challenges. We know that she would want you to grow even closer to each other now as a family to fill her empty spot with the strength of being that was her essence. Shine on Liz!

Dear Pat, Angela and Jennifer. I’m so sorry for you to have lost your wife and mother and my dear sister. She was ironically the backbone of our family and yet had suffered throughout her life with chronic pain that we all hated and would have taken over in a heartbeat if it could have given her some relief in exchange. At a young age she took on responsibilities and helped all of us to experience a better life thanks to her love and guidance. We had a lot of fun and a great many laughs growing up and her playful side is something we will all miss as she could interject some silliness that would give us all a good laugh when least expecting it. Liz loved to reminisce and our last conversations included sharing at some very good memories. Thank you Pat for caring for Liz and keeping her comfortable and keeping her company. You two spent decades together and raised two lovely daughters and grandchildren and enriched the lives of countless friends and family. Thank you too, Jenn and Ang, for your care and comfort and helping the Todd clan through this loss. I haven’t cried this much in years. I’ll truly miss her.
Rick Todd

Ang, I can see the same twinkle of love, laughter and a bit of sassy in your mom's eyes that shines out of your own. Sending love, hugs and prayers to you and your family in this time of sadness. ❤️
