Obituary of John Timar
February 16, 1935 – February 2, 2024
John died in Sarnia on February 2, 2024, after a brief illness. He will be missed by his beloved partner, Judy Lindberg; children, Cary, Ted, and Niki; grandchildren, Morley, Quinn, Leo, and Henry; and daughters-In-law, Julianne and Janice. John was born in Budapest, Hungary, and moved to Canada in 1957. He had a 33 year career as a chemist at Polysar.
He was a lover of the outdoors and enjoyed hikes on the Bruce Trail and with the Lambton and Bluewater Outdoors clubs. He also cycled thousands of kilometers per year until the end. He was a member of the Kiwanis club and volunteered for Meals on Wheels.
Memorial donations may be made to the Bruce Trail Conservancy or the Alpine Club of Canada Environment Fund.
A funeral was held on February 5, 2024, at Logan Funeral Home in London, Ontario.

A tree will be planted, by the Logan Funeral Home,
as a living memorial to John Timar.
