Obituary of Gladys "Marjorie" Bell (née Walker)

Peacefully, on Monday, March 11, 2024 at Meadow Park Nursing Home in London, Gladys “Marjorie” Bell (née Walker), formerly a resident of Chatham, passed away at the age of 94.

Beloved wife of 59 years to the late William Bell (2010). Loved mother of Linda Shapiro (late Martin) of London and Brian Bell of Richmond Hill. Proud and loving grandmother of Jennie Shapiro of London.

Daughter of the late Norman and Mary Walker. Dear sister of Janet (late James Holmes) and predeceased by her sister Donna (late Robert Strachan) and brothers Douglas, Bruce and Ken Walker.

Survived by sisters-in-law Elsie Walker and Esther Walker. Marjorie will also be missed by her nieces, nephews and friends.

Special thanks to all Marjorie’s compassionate care givers at Meadow Park Nursing Home.

A private family service and burial will take place.

Marjorie will be laid to rest with her late husband William Bell in Gillies Cemetery, West Lorne, Ontario.

In memory of Marjorie, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
