For as long as we can remember, Grammie and Grampie have always been there for us. Every birthday, Christmas, graduation, and everything in between. Danielle and I both can agree our favourite call every year is on our birthdays when both Grampie and Grammie call and sing their beautiful rendition of "Happy Birthday". It always puts the biggest smile on our face each year and we will forever cherish those calls.
Grampie was kind, never judged, and was the best role model. We are thankful for the stories he shared, the memories had, and the endless love. We are going to miss being your euchre partner and promise to take more pictures because we know how much you loved them.
Give Drummer and Casey all the belly rubs for us. We will miss you very much.

I saw some posts going up and thought I have some things I can put up. A few pictures around and I kept things, lets put some pictures of those things I kept. I will probably never sell them. Will use them as heirlooms.
Pictures: Gerry with a fish in Algonquin Park. Max big fish, Gerry little fish, Montreal Expos hat.

With Dignity and strength my Bear passed over just as a bolt of lightning streaked the sky. Although this was sudden and unexpected you reminded me of the power of love and the strength it gives. Rest easy and ride the waves until we are together again. All my love
From the day I was born until moments before you passed you were by my side always there for guidance and as a role model. Never any judgement just an ear and acceptance. You and I shared such a special relationship that developed our own visual communication. We could tell a lot by each others special eyes. Thank you for all of the memories and love, for being my God Father and living the part. Much love and respect.

From the beginning, Ger fit into the Karges family (his in-laws) with ease. He was a gentle, funny, intelligent man who had so many interests and he was dearly loved by his mother and father in law Clayton and Lyla .
Gerry shared many entertaining stories about growing up in Quebec with his brother Larry and his family. We loved hearing about his family life there and knew that he had a very happy, fun filled and interesting life before coming to Toronto where he met Max.
Gerry loved to create. As a carpenter, he created many beautiful pieces for Max and Ger’s home and we are all fortunate to have his wooden pens that he so proudly shared with us.
Ger was really interested in wildlife , and was happy to share his many photographs of the birds that they drew to the feeders and many nesting boxes at their place. As a long time bird lover I looked forward to these exchanges.
Ger knew how to make special days fun and I’m sure that along with all of his Facebook friends, we always looked forward to receiving some funny or sweet ,on line greeting card. Sadly, I missed getting one at Easter this year.
Ger was a creator of delicious baked items in the kitchen. We all looked forward to his brownies and rhubarb cake as well as to trying his other baked goodies. His rolls and breads were always a part of the Karges holiday dinners.
We will miss you so much Ger and we will take care of the love of your life, Max. So long my friend. Ro
