Obituary of David "Barry" Fay

April 15, 1930-May 19, 2024

 

At Parkwood Institute on Sunday, May 19, 2024, David “Barry” Fay, in his 95th year, went peacefully to be with the Lord.

 

Predeceased by his wife Vivian (née Seaman) after 52 years and wife Evelyn (née Delany) after 6 years. Survived by his best friend Ruth Gourley. Father of Carolyn Kirk and Shari Ray Mastin (Peter Mastin). Grandfather of Justin (Emily Brac), Joshua and Jacob Kirk (Michaela Baker) and Aaron Ray (Jennifer Mulligan). Great-Grandfather of Derrick & Grayson Kirk. Stepfather to Steve (Linda), Rodger (Shirley), Kim (Frank Engles), Larry and Dale Delany and families. Also step-father to Bruce, Susan (deceased) and Alison Gourley and Brenda Bunting (Doug) and families. Predeceased by siblings Albert, Marion (Read), Keillor (1st Londoner killed in WW2), Holly (Gray) and George Fay. Remembered by sister-in-law Yvonne Lockhart and many nieces and nephews.

 

Barry volunteered for many years in Credit Union, Society of Manufacturing Engineers, Senior Games and Huff N Puff Senior Fitness Association, he also refereed basketball for many years and will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

 

Visitation will be held at Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St., London, Ontario (between Colborne & Waterloo St.), on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m.

 

Funeral service will be held in the Logan Chapel on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.

 

Interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London, Ontario.

 

Friends who wish may make donations to Parkinson’s Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
