Obituary of Marion Wright
Marion Wright of London passed away peacefully in her home, with family by her side, at the age of 100, on May 22, 2024. Dearly loved wife of the late Chief Training Officer Herbert Wright (1984) of the London Fire Department. Loving mother of Bonnie Wright (Jan) of Alberta & Debby Corneal (Wil) of Ontario. Cherished grandmother of Vicki Fiesel (Curtis) of Alberta, Becky Ibbetson (Ryan) of Alberta, Kelly Corneal of St. Thomas, Jamie Corneal (Miranda) of Alberta, Michael Williams (Johanna) of Brampton and Nikki Williams (Jason) of Yukon. Love great-grandmother of Vayle and Brynn Wilton, Evan Ibbetson and Carter Corneal all of Alberta. Marion was predeceased by her siblings Lewis Falconer (Ev), Betty Dance (Art), Edith Watson (Tom) and Jean Brooks (Jack). Marion will be missed by all of her nieces, nephews and treasured friends at St. John The Evangelist Church, choir and bowling.
Marion was born in London ON. April 13, 1924, daughter of Lewis Smith Falconer and Harriet Elizabeth Falconer (Pitt).
Marion was an active member of St. John the Evangelist Church and choir member until her late 80”s. She was an avid bowler, held season tickets to the opera, theatre goer, attending over 200 plays and loved her visits to Springbank Park.
The family wants to extend a special thank you to the caring and attentive staff from St. Elizabeth, Paramed and VON especially Miranda, Christine, Kara, Sarah, Michelle and Larry.
Visitation will be held at the Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St., London, on Sunday from 2:00 -4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 pm.
A funeral service will be conducted at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, 280 St. James St., London, on Monday, May 27, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation 1 hour prior, with Rev. Canon Bill Ward officiating.
The service for Marion will be livestreamed via Zoom
