My brother, Donald, was a deep thinker and a family man. I have many memories over the years as we grew up together. We were blessed in many ways.
I always knew I could go to him if I needed help with anything. He always had my back. I miss him already.

Aunt Shirley, Barry and Joanne - my deepest sympathies on the passing of Uncle Don. It took time for me after the loss of our parents, but eventually all of the good memories replaced the sorrow and in time I’m sure it will for you too. He was a very good man and we always enjoyed our time together in Pointe Claire, Avonmore and even some of those picnics along the St. Lawrence. God bless the entire family.

To Shirley –
Please accept my deepest sympathy in the loss of Don. I’m so sorry. He was a great gentleman! I remember him so well at Riverside, as we worked together on several committees. And of course, I remember you as well.
Do know my caring thoughts are with you and your family.
Peace to you . . . Norma Clare

I am so grateful to have met Don and Shirley at Riverside United. My late husband Rod and the Sutherlands sat in the back corner of the church while I was in the choir. I was fortunate to be on several committees through the years with Don and came to understand "Don's way" I enjoyed his Presbytery meeting reports with the " rating of the chicken dinners" and I loved his chuckle. I used to say to Shirley" how do you put up with him"- always right in front of Don.I had such a soft spot for him. His gruffness was such a front to the warm and caring man that we knew. He was so proud of his family and happily shared stories of their activities. Our son and family live in Don and Shirley's home on Everglade and I think of them every time I visit my family.
My deepest condolences to you Shirley and your family. How you will miss him
