Celebration of Life
Obituary of Adam Abraham Dempsey, PhD
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Dr. Adam Dempsey on September 11, 2024, while doing what he loved—fishing.
Adam was born on March 31, 1971, and lived a life filled with love, generosity, and dedication to those around him.
Adam was a devoted father to his beloved daughter, Eugenia, whom he adored and cherished above all. He was a loving son to Wayne and Trudy Dempsey, the best friend and brother to Ben Dempsey and Barbara Dempsey-Smith, and proud uncle of Aidan and Liam Smith.
Adam earned a PhD in Clinical Biochemistry from the University of Toronto, and his intelligence and passion for learning were evident to all who knew him. But beyond his academic achievements, it was his kind heart, generosity, and sense of humor that left a lasting impression on everyone. He was the kind of person who always put others first, whether through his friendships or his love for family.
Adam was an avid gardener, and he particularly enjoyed cultivating a wide variety of tomatoes. An amazing cook, Adam was always the host for family gatherings, creating meals filled with love and laughter. His kindness, intelligence, and deep sense of giving made him a great friend and an even better father. Adam was also a devoted dog dad to his beloved rescue dog, Millie, who brought him immense joy and companionship. His love for animals, especially Millie, reflected his kind and caring nature, always extending his heart to those in need.
Adam will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His spirit lives on in the memories of his family, friends, and all the lives he touched.
A Celebration of Life for Adam will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Logan Funeral Home, located at 371 Dundas Street, London, Ontario.
