Obituary of Stanley "Sam" Ahrens

Peacefully, at Mount Hope on Friday, September 27, 2024, Stanley “Sam” Ahrens passed away at the age of 81.

Beloved husband for 50 years of the late Jean Marie Ahrens (née MacFarlane). Loving father of Jason (Kate) Ahrens, Stephanie (Terry) Kelly, Jon (Becky) Ahrens and Sara (Craig) Wood. Cherished grandfather of Sasha, Gabriel, Desmond, Courtney, Owen, Sam, Myra, Symone and Renae. Dear brother of Keith “Ernie” (Dianne) Ahrens and stepbrother of Janet Buuck. Forever in the hearts of many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his father Lloyd Ahrens, mother Irene Hinz (née Schraeder) and stepfather Henry Hinz.

Stan will be fondly remembered for the way he loved his family, served in his church and community, coached many years of hockey and baseball, and for being a friendly, generous, and fun-loving person.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Mount Hope for all their care and support.

Cremation has taken place.
