Although Ian died a wealthy man ... as was his goal,
and is, resultantly, esteemed by they beholden to his generosity,
individuals who knew Ian over many years, acknowledge too, that he was a complex personality.
In Shakespeare's words, "all that glisters is not gold."
Ian will be missed.
I am especially saddened for the loss experienced by his devoted and loving wife, "MJ".

I was heartbroken to receive the news of Ian's passing. I had known him for most of his life but I lost track of him when I moved to Vancouver.. My condolences to the family. I spent many Monday evenings with Ian at our Poker group and always enjoyed his comments and his humour. Ian and Mary Jane were great fans of the Bee Gees and got many of us interested in their music and the dancing that followed. He was a good friend when I lived in London. The community has lost a great man!

Dearest MJ, Sari, Alon, Marla and family,
I am so thankful to have known Ian over the years as Sari’s dad, and MJ’s adoring husband. I always enjoyed my encounters with Ian; he was always smiling, always welcoming, and gave the best hugs. He loved his family first which was evident in the many celebrations they shared as a family. Ian had a sharp mind for entrepreneurship and business, which he clearly passed down to Sari and Alon. Ian has always been Sari’s confidant, role model and mentor. He will be truly missed. Peace be upon him/Alav ha-shalom.
