Obituary of Muretta Marguerite (Knott) Ramsey

Peacefully, one week before her 101st birthday, Muretta passed away at Victoria Hospital on September 5, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Lloyd Ramsey (1993). Loving mother of Shirley (Ken – deceased) Tye, Don (Judy) Ramsey & Gary (Barbara) Ramsey. Cherished grandmother of 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren & 2 great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by sister & brothers; Madeline Barton, Johnny Knott, Lloyd Knott, Lorne Knott, Gordon Knott & Stanley Knott. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Muretta loved to play cribbage & euchre and could always be found playing at the Victory Legion, Canadian Corps & the North London Optimist Centre. Visitation will be held at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton St.), on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8pm. Funeral service will be conducted in the Evans Chapel on Friday, September 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Dorchester Union Cemetery. At Muretta’s request donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
