Obituary of David Bassie
Peacefully, at Victoria Hospital, on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, David passed away in his 83rd year. Loving husband of Evelina for 53 years; father of Pamela Bassie (Darren Muttersbach), Sandra Bassie & Robert (Staci) Bassie; and grandfather of Logan & Holly Muttersbach, Kirra Elizabeth Bassie and Madison & Hailey Bassie. Predeceased by parents Lena & Marinus Bassie. Dear brother of Jack (deceased), Sara (deceased), Rien, Len, Trudy, Paul, Bill, Peter, Case, Lenie & John. Also survived by many nieces & nephews.
Born in the Netherlands and immigrating to Canada in 1954 David was a respected carpenter as a building contractor and had a love for photographing nature with his specialty being wild flowers and butterflies.
A Celebration of David’s Life will be held at Bethel Christian Reformed Church, 716 Classic Drive, on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. (Visitation from 12:30-2pm).
