He was last a Branch Manager in St. Thomas, where he retired to golf, curl, make woodcrafts, and spend time with his family. Jim survived many illnesses, fighting cancer successfully for years. Much of his longevity can be attributed to the excellent care given to him by the wonderful staff and nurses at Parkwood Western Counties Wing, where his humour will be sorely missed.
