Obituary of Donald Munroe "The Captain" Robertson
It is with great sadness in our hearts that we say goodbye to Donald Munroe Robertson. After a lengthy battle he lost in "extra innings" on July 3rd, 2015 in his 73rd year at L.H.S.C., Victoria Campus, surround by his loved ones. Dearly missed by the love of his life Phyllis (wife 39 years); his children Leigh Ann Robertson (best friend Tony), Heather Robertson (John), John Robertson (Jennifer) of Calgary; step-children Fraser Ferguson (Debbie), Jill Hendry (Steve), Colleen Thorpe (Robert); grandchildren Sarah, Shelby, Ashley, Emma, Kelly, Scott, Jocelyn, Jenelle, Chanel, Michelle, Alicia, Taylor, Alexander, Mackenzie, Austin, Brooke and seven great grandchildren. Fondly remembered by his sister Kay Macpherson (Sandy) of Nova Scotia. Predeceased by his stepdaughter Ruth Hellyer (Ian).
You will always live in our hearts Don, Dad, Grandpa, Great grandpa and "Captain".
The visitation will be held at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton Street), on Tuesday July 7th from 2-4pm & 7-9pm. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, July 8th, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Evans Chapel. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society, London Heath Sciences Foundation or The Salvation Army. Online condolences can be expressed at www.evansfh.ca
