Obituary of William Charles "Bill" Moody

It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of William Charles (Bill) Moody, of Dorchester, on June 9, 2015, 1 day after his 61st birthday. Bill was the loving husband of Jo-Anne, and proud and devoted father of Meghan (Adam Crozier) of London, and Mark of Dorchester. Bill is survived by his sister Kathy Edmunds of Medicine Hat, his brother Pat of Calgary, his mother-in-law Margaret Moore of Colborne, brother-in-law Rob Moore of Calgary, nieces Ellisa Friesen (Kurtis) of Medicine Hat, and Tessa Moore of Calgary, nephew Matthew of Medicine Hat, and great-niece and nephew Lucy and Markus of Medicine Hat. Bill was pre-deceased by his parents William and Mary Moody, his father-in-law Fernando Dekeyser, brothers-in-law Harry Edmunds and Bryon Moore. Bill was born and raised in Calgary, and graduated from the University of Calgary with a degree in Economics. After many moves he settled in Dorchester with Jo-Anne and the kids in 1992, where he worked in sales. He devoted his time to making everlasting memories for his family on yearly trips and various sporting events. He enjoyed being a part of many organizations over the years, and always made lasting friendships along the way. In his final few years, Bill settled into a career as a mortgage agent. He was thrilled to be in a position in which he felt he was truly helping others. His favourite pastimes included golf, beers at GT’s on the beach, travelling down south and to Florida with family and great friends, watching the Toronto Raptors and Calgary Flames on his big screen, and enjoying a homemade turkey dinner with his family. Throughout Bill’s battle with cancer he remained an eternal optimist, despite the odds being against him. A Celebration of Bill's Life will be held at The Willows Golf & Country Club, 2124 Westchester Bourne, London, ON (Nilestown), on Saturday, June 13, 2015 from 2-5pm. Eulogy will be spoken at 2:30pm with a BBQ to follow.
