Obituary of William Bernie "Bill" McPhee
After a valiant fight and surrounded by his loving family on Friday, March 27th, 2015 at Country Terrace in Komoka, Ontario, William Bernie (Bill) McPhee passed away at the age of 77.
Dear Father of Terry-Anne (Al) Kimmerly, Janice Patterson, Bill (Michelle) McPhee and Lisa Gashi. Grandfather of Raden and Tanja Taylor, Jason, Robert and Tiffany Patterson, Sarah, David and Ryan McPhee, Brittnei Berrisford, Jarret and Tyler Gashi. Great Grandfather of six and one on the way.Predeceased by his spouse Diane (2011) and his second spouse Shirley (2010).
Dad came from a large family with many of his siblings living on the east coast. Dad joined the army at 17 where he took up boxing. He was quite successful in Real Estate for Canada Trust and was top agent for 5 years. Dad had a deep faith in our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. He loved reading his bible and spreading the good news.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Country Terrace for the love and compassion they gave to each one of us, especially over the last couple of weeks. We will be forever grateful for the exemplary care you gave our Dad.
Cremation has taken place.
Visitation will be held at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton St.), on Wednesday, April 1st, 2015 from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday, April 2nd, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. A Celebration of Bill’s life will be conducted in the Evans Chapel on Thursday, April 2nd, 2015 at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Salvation Army, the Lung Association or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
