Obituary of William (Bill) Hayes

Peacefully in his sleep, with his wife by his side, Bill Hayes of London, passed away on Sunday, March 15th, 2015 at University Hospital, in his 72nd year. Bill leaves behind his beloved wife of 40 years, Edith (Lehman). He will be deeply missed by his children Leighanne Hayes of London and Krista Hayes (Kevin Doubt) of Kitchener. He is survived by his sisters Marie King and Linda Maguire, and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Bill was a selfless volunteer for, and a longtime active member with his church, the Salvation Army. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received on Saturday, March 21, 2015 from 12-1 at the London Hillcrest Salvation Army Corps, 310 Vesta Rd. Funeral service will follow at 1 pm. Those who wish to make a memorial donation in Bill’s name are asked to consider the London Regional Cancer Program or London Hillcrest Salvation Army Corps.
