Obituary of Mary Isobel Shantz

Peacefully at University Hospital, London, on Thursday, March 5, 2015, Mary Shantz (nee O’Malley) in her 90th year. Mary was born in St. Thomas, in 1926. Beloved wife of the late William "Bill" Shantz (2012), and the late Ed Thomson (1962). Loved step-mother of Jacqueline Shantz. Survived by her brother Raymond Gloin, many grandchildren, great and great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and many great and great-great-nieces and nephews, and her very special friend Michelle, whom Mary always considered family. Mary was predeceased by her step-daughter Margie Thorne (2011). Cremation has taken place. At Mary’s request there will be no funeral home visitation or service. A Celebration of Mary’s Life will be held at a later date. Those who wish to make a memorial donation are asked to consider the Lung Association.
