Obituary of Jim "Butch" Burgie

Peacefully passed away, surrounded by family on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at LHSC, Victoria Hospital. Beloved husband of 47 years to Carolyn (née Davidson). Loving father of James, Jason, Trevor (Amanda), Tyler (Samantha) and Heather (the late Brian). Jim will be forever loved by his grandchildren Hannah, Hayden, Ava, Hadley, Halia and Olivia. Survived by his sister Anne. Predeceased by his parents and siblings. Jim will be fondly remembered for his love of music and the Toronto Maple Leafs. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff of GBU and palliative care unit at LHSC along with all the staff at Dearness Home for all their care and support. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Road, London, Ontario (1 block east of Egerton), on Friday, February 3, 2023 from 7-9 p.m. Those who wish may make memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or Dearness Home in memory of Jim.
