Obituary of Robert Michael "Bob" Gillingwater

Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, with family by his side at Victoria Hospital on Friday, September 14, 2012, Bob passed away in his 74th year. Loving husband of Barb for 25 years & the late Ardel (Thornhill) and father of Deborah Gillingwater (Lisa), Michael Gillingwater, Donna (Ed) Sherman and Judy (the late Sandy) Abbott. Cherished grandfather of Philip, Tara, Cassandra, Danielle, Matthew, Tamara, Adrienne & Alec and great-grandfather of Tyla, Nolan & Parker. Predeceased by 2 great-grandchildren Braeden & Landon. Dear brother of Beverley, Ethel, Doug, Tom, Ross, Gary, Dick, Roy, Peter & their families. Bob worked many years for the LTC (London Transit Commission). Friends will be received at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton), on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held in the Evans Chapel on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Dorchester Union Cemetery. Donations to the Kidney Foundation or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
