Sue, it was with deep sadness that I learned of Bill's passing. To you and your family please accept our sincere condolences. I have been living in Japan (and the Philippines) for the past twenty-two years and thus, did not see a lot of Bill in recent years. However, I always had fond memories of Bill. He was one of the good old boys, loved and respected by many, including those of us who worked with him at Zurich or who played ball against him. He was simply a great guy. With our deepest sympathy, Tim & Anna Kumagai and family

Bill was a terrific colleague and a true gentleman. My deepest sympathy to you and your family on your loss.

My sincere condolences on the loss of a great guy.I played slow pitch with and against Bill for the past several years. His optimism and great sense of humour never deserted him even if we were losing. I always loved testing his considerable knowledge of trivia. In particular, he knew the capital cities of all 50 states in the USA. Over the years he sent me only a few e-mails but they were always loaded with humour.

Bill, was truly the most gentlemanly man I have ever met. He was highly competitive and skilled in the sports we played together and against, slopitch, touch-football, pool, and pickup basketball. His athleticism, kindness, generosity, and leadership made him well respected by all who knew him. He will be missed and often thought of, especially when the Chaps boys get together. He joins those that have preceded him. He was our flagship. I'm sure he will take care of registering the Chaps boys in heaven's league and let us know when each of us are next up. Looking forward to rejoicing his life as he did so much for everyone. My prayers go out to you and family.

My sincerest condolences to Bill's family. Bill loved his softball and shared his enthusiasm for the sport with all. When I arrived in Woodbrook Estates 4 years ago, Bill was the first to inquire if I played ball and even found a glove for me to use that first winter season in Lakeland. The following summer he contact me about bringing our Sarnia team to Dorchester. Those of us, who knew Bill through ball admire his competitivesness but also his simple enjoyment of the game and the comraderie that surrounds it. We will miss him very much. Brian

My Wife Dianne and I are so saddened by the loss of our friend Bill. Bill and I were friends as teenagers and that friendship has continued through the years. We spend a weekend every year at his trailer in Goderich and it was always wonderful talking and catching up and just spending time together. Bill was always considerate and kind to everyone, he was energetic and fun, he loved his wife and his children. I will miss him terribly and we send our prayers to Susan and his children.

Thank you Susan for letting me speak to my cousin Bill. I know it was difficult for him to speak, but it was a blessing, I will never forget. Not knowing Bill like I would of enjoyed, we shared the same interests in all sports. He was a class act and will be sorely missed by all. The McEllister and Mihm families certainly produced a "Gem" of a man. My deepest sympathy to all of the family, in this most trying of times. With the help of God and the strength that Bill passed on to you all we should all celebrate his life... God Bless...George Marshall Tuttle, Viola's Mihm Tuttle's son.
