Obituary of Robert "Bob" John Carswell
At Parkwood Hospital, on Christmas Day Sunday, December 25, 2011, Bob passed away peacefully at the age of 100 years.
Beloved husband of the late K. Jean (Chapman) Carswell (1995). Predeceased by daughter Barbara Jean Mons and parents Lottie & Robert James (Longtime City Alderman) Carswell. Loved by grandson David Robert (Dennise) Mons and great grandfather to Nicole of Michigan. Also predeceased by dear brothers Allan (Jean), Fred (Anne), Eric (Bea), Gord (Lucille) Carswell and sister Helen (Stan) Ball. Survived by many nieces, nephews and their families. He will be missed by his dear friend Joan (Tibbs) Tanner.
Bob was a member of Nilestown #247 A.F. & A.M. for over 60 years and a long tenured employee of the City of London Engineer’s Department. He served his country with the Kent Regiment.
At Bob’s request no visitation or service will be held. His ashes will be buried with his wife and daughter at a private graveside service at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
