Obituary of Grace Isabel Murphy

Peacefully, at home, on Tuesday, May 24, 2011, Grace passed away in her 82nd year. Loving wife of Cliff for 56 years, and mother of Mike (the late Bonnie), Dan (Ruth Ann), Kelly (Cheryl), all of London, Peggy Murphy of Collingwood and June (John) Walker of Windsor. Cherished grandmother of Dennis, Angela, Kevin, Meghan, Beth & Paul. Dear sister of Dorothy (the late Alan) Whytock & Cameron (Marilyn) Robertson. Daughter of the late Birks & Bella Robertson. Also survived by Jennifer (Horst) Braun, Josh (Bridget) Baynham, 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces & nephews. Grace was a longtime member of Pike Bay United Church & Fairmont United Church. Through her long time church association Grace became involved in a mission for African Orphans. She used her sewing skills to contribute more than 200 handmade dresses to this worthy cause. Visitation will be held at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton), on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held in the Evans Chapel on Friday, May 27, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow with interment in Bruce County.
