Obituary of John "Jack" Albert Cripps
“Jack” John Albert Cripps, longtime resident of Trafalgar Street, London, in his 95th year, passed away peacefully at Spruce Lodge, Stratford, on Tuesday, December 4, 2007. Survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Joy (Tearoe) Cripps. Loving father of George Albert Cripps of Regina, SK, and Linda & her husband Glen Weitzel of Tavistock, ON. Devoted grandfather of Greg and Lindsay Weitzel. Brother of Ken Cripps (& late wife Iris), Catherine (Walter) Fletcher, Amelia (Ron) Stone and Eva Shaddick, all of London, and brother-in-law of John “Bud” Tearoe of West Vancouver, B.C. Also survived by sisters-in-law Eunice, Anne & Pat Cripps and numerous nieces & nephews. Predeceased by brothers George, Gerald (& wife Eva), Walter, Fred, Bill (& wife Ella) and Ted Cripps. A Memorial Service to Celebrate John’s Life will be held at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton), London, on Saturday, December 8, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. (visitation 1 hour prior to service) with Pastor Doug Reble, from Zion Lutheran Church, Stratford, officiating. Cremation with a private family inurnment will take place at a later date in Woodland Cemetery, London. Donations to the Stratford General Hospital or London Health Sciences Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences can be expressed at www.evansfh.ca
