Obituary of Gilbert DeMelo

Peacefully at home in his 79th year, Gilbert DeMelo passed away on Friday, July 6, 2007. Born in Fenais de Ajuda, St. Miguel, Azores Portugal July 12, 1928. Lovingly remembered by his wife of 48 years Maria (Linda) and two sons John (Pat) and Mike. Devoted grandfather of John, Connie and Jacob. Survived by two brothers, two sisters, many family members and friends. Predeceased by his parents and two brothers. Friends will be received at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Road (1 block east of Egerton), on Monday, July 9th from 10-11 am. Funeral service will be held in the Evans Chapel on Monday, July 9, 2007 at 11:00 am with Rev. Darrell Shaule officiating. Interment in St. Peters Cemetery.
