Obituary of David Robert (Bob) Cairns

On Saturday January 3, 2004 at St. Joseph's Health Centre London, David Robert (Bob) Cairns died suddenly in his 82nd year. Bob was the loving husband of Rilla and father of Ann Marie Springer (Willy), David Everet Cairns (Carol), Daniel Robert Cairns (Sheila) and Sonja L. Sager (Doug) all from London. Bob is also survived by nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by his sister-in-law Edith O'Quinn and his siblings Nancy Payne from Sussex New Brunswick and Jordy Bell from Mahone Bay Nova Scotia. Bob worked in the sanitation department of London for over 30 years. Friends will be welcomed at the Evans Funeral Home 648 Hamilton Road on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel Wednesday at 10:30. Interment will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Donation to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family. Services:
