Obituary of Jack Edward Rowswell
Peacefully, at home, on Tuesday, March 13, 2012, Jack passed away in his 81st year. Loving husband of 60 years to Eldonna (Merner), and father of Glen (Leanne), Janet (Mike) Raeside & Ed (Rose) all of London and Pat (Robert) Raeside of Brampton. Cherished grandfather of Ryan, John (Pam), Tanya (Brian), Jennifer, Ashley, Cheryl Anne (Marcel) & Adam, and great-grandfather of Jake, Julia, Amalea, Noah, Rebekah & Eden. Dear brother of Harry & Don (Marg) and brother-in-law of Don Ackland. Predeceased by sisters Clara Hodges, Hazel West, Betty Ackland, Barb Grayson & brother Abby. Also survived by several nieces & nephews.
Jack served his country proud as a member of the R.C.O.C. for 26 years and then worked 18 years for the Western Fair. Jack will be remembered for his love of the outdoors and gardening at his home and church.
Friends will be received at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton), on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held at All Saints’ Anglican Church, 249 Hamilton Rd., on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Peter Leonard officiating. Interment in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
Donations to All Saints’ Anglican Church or the London Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
