Obituary of Daniel "Danny" Mitchell

Peacefully, with family by his side, at University Hospital on Wednesday, May 1, 2013, Danny passed away in his 60th year. Beloved son of Annabelle & the late Frank Mitchell (1988). Father of Carrie-Anne Mitchell (Scott), Krista Banks (Dean), Daniel Mitchell, and Darnell Mitchell (1974). Grandfather of Nicholas, Greggory, Alex, Savannah and Zoe. Survived by sister Marj, brother Gary, sister Delores Skinner (Hugh), brother Donny (Laura), sister Bonnie, brother Frank "Poncho" (Lisa), sister Cindy (John), brother Robert (Myra). Pre-deceased by brother Larry (Carrie). Danny will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors and nurses of the intensive care unit at L.H.S.C.-University Hospital for all their care and support. Friends will be received at the EVANS FUNERAL HOME, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton St.) on Saturday, May 4, 2013 from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Evans Chapel on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 1 p.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in memory of Danny.
