Obituary of Donald Alexander McMillan
JANUARY 7, 1952-SEPTEMBER 9, 2007 On Sunday, September 9, 2007 Donald Alexander McMillan passed away peacefully and quietly, surrounded by his family, Moira McMillan and his children, Anne (Andrew), Ian (Stacey), Claire (Matt), and Alan (Sally). He is also survived by his grandchildren Braeden, Matthew, Brietta and Brynne, as well as nieces and nephews in Scotland. Donald was predeceased by his mother Jetta (1957), his son Donald Ian (1972), his father William (1982), and his Nannie Hutton (1984). He became a loyal Free Mason of the Scottish Right, Helensburgh, Scotland in 1972. Upon receiving his trade papers as a Licensed Gas Fitter, Donald began a career employed by Scottish Gas. He emigrated to Canada with his family in 1977, where he worked for CP Rail, and then branched out with his own company, Donco Heating some years later. Donald was a great supporter of the Rangers Football Club and loved every aspect of the game. He was one of those instrumental in spearheading the select program for “The Winnipeg Youth Soccer Association”, as well as playing for Weston United for a number of years. Please join the family for services on Thursday, September 13, 2007 at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd., (1 block east of Egerton).
