Obituary of David "Pops" Campbell Phelps

In his 69th year, David "Pops" Campbell Phelps peacefully passed away with his family by his side on Sunday, October 2, 2011 at L.H.S.C. Victoria Hospital. Cherished husband of Ellie for 43 years. Loving dad of Dory and her husband James Mounsey, the late Robbie (1977), Andrew and his wife Kate and Kenny and his wife Julia. Loving Papa of Kiki, Hayden, Aubyn and Maren. Survived by two brothers and one sister and their families. Always remembered by his nieces, nephews and many friends. Predeceased by his older brother Edward Phelps. David’s love for the outdoors was in evidence through countless hours spent at the cottage, sailing, fishing and canoeing just to list a few. His passion for music and singing will always be remembered. Friends will be received at Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St. (between Waterloo & Colborne St.) on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. (*Please use the King St. entrance) A Celebration of David’s life will be held at Wesley Knox United Church, 91 Askin St., on Friday, October 7th, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation has taken place.
